    "Incorruptible" A Dark Comedy about the Dark Ages

    *Location:* 40 River St. Chagrin Falls

    *The Play:* Michael Hollinger's /Incorruptible/ is a bawdy farce set
    in Medieval France, which loooks at how we humans gleefully twist
    our convictions to rationalize our bad behavior. Sainte Foy, the
    patron of the local monastery, hasn't worked a miracle in 13 years.
    All eyes turn to the Pope, whose promised visit will surely
    encourage other pilgrims to make the trek, and restore the abbey to
    its former glory. That is, until a rival church claims to possess
    the relics of Sainte Foy-- their bones are working miracles. All
    seems lost until the destitute monks take a lesson from a larcenous
    one-eyed minstrel, who teaches them an outrageous new way to pay old
    debts.

    *Seeking 5 men, 3 women (all roles 18+):*

        * Father Charles, Brother Martin, Brother Felix and Brother Olf
          - 4 impoverished monks who are determined to bring an influx
          of cash to their down-on-its-luck monastery
        * Jack, the one-eyed juggling minstrel
        * Marie, a prostitute and the "almost wife" of Jack
        * Marie's mother, a caustic and rowdy Peasant Woman
        * Mother Agatha, the scheming abbess of a neighboring monastery

    *Preparation:*

        * We will read from the script.
        * A copy of your acting resume and a current photo/snapshot are
          encouraged, but not required.
        * Bring your calendar so that you can tell us any of your
          possible conflicts for rehearsals.

CVLT was voted 'Best Community Theatre' by Cleveland Magazine Readers, 
and 'Best Theatre Group' on the Fox 8 HotList in 2007.

Chagrin Valley Little Theatre is generously funded by Cuyahoga County 
residents through Cuyahoga Arts and Culture and is supported by the Ohio 
Arts Council.
