Below is the audition posting from NEohioPAL on 12/27/2008.  It listed
Cleveland Playhouse, Rehearsal Hall A as the audition location.  

 

I left a phone message requesting an audition appointment, and when I was
called back with my appointment time, the Cleveland Playhouse rehearsal hall
was mentioned then as well.  Perhaps whoever you spoke to inadvertently
forgot to mention it?

 

There was a large turnout at the audition, from what I could see.  A lot of
incredibly talented actors to choose from.  Should be a very engaging and
timely production!

4 male actors - late 20's - 60's

5 female actors - 1 late teen, others 30's - 60's

DREAM/HOME has been commissioned by Dobama Theatre, with the support  of
Cuyahoga Arts and Culture.  It is Part II of Dobama Theatre's Cycle of
Cleveland Plays. 

DREAM/HOME is a poetic narrative told in monologue form that explores the
Cleveland housing & foreclosure crisis and its impact on the community.

Actors will be auditioned from the script in groups of 8-10 on the hour.

Sides will be available 1/2 hour before scheduled audition time.

Please respond with your preference for 1, 2, 3 or 4 pm, leaving your name &

Can anyone help me out with this one:  I saw Dobama's audition post last
week, called for 3 pm and then had a serious fiasco finding the place where
they were doing the audition (not listed in the post), went to three
different places to look for them (website is out of date as is their SEO
via google)-including their new admin offices on Lee Rd where no one was
present and ended up giving up after checking out their supposedly last
location under Guy's Pizza on Coventry.  I also called both numbers
associated with the theatre and no one answered.  
 
I ended up giving up and was 20% bummed i didn't get to audition for what
sounds like a relevent theatre production about the mortgage crisis, 20%
feeling foolish for saying I'd be there and not making it, which is
embrassing to a perfectionist like myself, and 60% annoyed that it wasn't as
simple as finidng the proper address on google and driving there- and that
in considering I run a non-theatre related company by day and am a business
man, I'd be embarrased if this happened to anyone trying to find me...
 
Did anyone else go?  Am I just an idiot?  (well yess of course I am but I
mean just about this)
