Francis Coppola's revered crime films THE GODFATHER and THE GODFATHER PART II will show in new, restored 35mm film prints this weekend at the Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque, 11141 East Boulevard in University Circle. Each film won the Oscar for Best Picture in its year. THE GODFATHER (1972), starring Marlon Brando as Mafia boss Don Corleone, will screen on Friday, January 23 at 7:30 pm and on Saturday, January 24, at 3:30 pm. THE GODFATHER PART II (1974), which stars Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro, shows at 7:30 pm on Saturday, January 24, and at 2:30 pm on Sunday, January 25. Admission to each part is $8 (Cinematheque members $6), or one can see the whole saga on Saturday for $14 (members $12). Tickets can be purchased only at the door.
