Announces 2009 Season Auditions


RODGERS AND HAMMERSTEIN’S CINDERELLA: June 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20,  
24, 25, 26 and 27

GODSPELL: July 10, 11, 15, 16, 17, 18, 22, 23, 24, and 25

ME AND MY GIRL: August 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 15, 19, 20, 21 and 22

AUDITION PREPARATION: Please prepare two short musical selections of  
contrasting styles in your key; bring sheet music in the correct key;  
an accompanist will be provided. Headshots and resumes will be  
accepted at the audition.

GENERAL REHEARSAL INFORMATION: Rehearsals will be weeknights  
6:30-10:30 and Saturday afternoons 11:00-4:00. No Sundays. For  
productions involving children, every effort will be made to release  
them early, but, as our rehearsal period is short, the entire cast  
will be expected at all rehearsals for tech week. Rehearsal conflicts  
need to be very minimal or none at all. All rehearsals and  
performances are in theatre at Parma Little Theatre, 6285 West 54th  
Street, Parma OH 44129.


CASTING REQUIREMENTS: Non - Equity. There are no Equity Contracts  
available for this 2009 Season. Most roles are open (see specific  
show breakdowns for which roles are cast). Mercury Summer Stock is  
committed to non-traditional casting. Actors will be cast solely on  
the basis of talent, except in cases where age, race or physical  
ability are essential to a role. Ages listed in breakdowns are  
"character ages" not actor ages. Actors selected for casting may be  
cast in more than one production for the season.


COMPENSATION: All non-AEA actors appear in Mercury Summer Stock  
productions on a volunteer basis.
