Auditions for Jar the Floor by playwright Cheryl West will be held at the African Community Theatre (ACT) in Oscar Ritchie Hall at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. Audition dates and times are as follows: Thursday, February 19th from 6p-9p; Friday, February 20th from 6p-9p and Saturday February 21st from Noon-3p. Please prepare a monologue.? Casting needs are for four African American actresses and one Caucasian actress.? Ages 20-70.? Parking passes will be provided. Show dates are from April 9th-12th and April 16th-19th.? ?

The two act play is set in suburban Chicago and discusses the complexities, thoughts and desires of one African American family on estrogen overload.
