FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Les Miserables, School Edition, Auditions

 

Actors ages 12 to 19 prepare that audition melody and plan to audition for
Rabbit Run Theater’s Young Adult Production of Les Miserables, School
Edition.  

 

Les Miserables, School Edition, based on the book by Victor Hugo, is the
compelling story of Jean Valjean and his struggle for liberty and
redemption.  Les Miserables won eight Tony Awards and was the third longest
running show on Broadway.  The musical is written by Alain Boublil and
Claude-Michel Schönberg; music by Claude-Michel Schönberg and lyrics by
Herbert Kretzmer.

 

Auditions are Saturday, Mar. 14, and Sunday, Mar. 15, 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. both
days.  Appointments are necessary to audition and may be scheduled by
calling Rabbit Run Community Arts Association at 440-428-5913.  All
auditions are at the RRCAA Fine Arts facility, 49 Park St., Madison Village.

 

Actors should prepare a short song to sing (about 16 measures).  Please
bring the sheet music for the accompanist; monologues are not required.

 

The director for Les Miserable, School Edition, is Brint Learned, executive
director of RRCAA and musical direction is by Christopher Bott.  Production
dates are June 26 through July 11.

 

Rabbit Run Theater is one of the few barn theaters still in operation and is
located at 5648 W. Chapel Rd., Madison.
