“..a twisty comedy….a poisoned Post-it note of a play”  -- The
New York Times

January 26, 2009 -- Dobama
Theatre proudly presents The Receptionist,
 by Obie Award-winning playwright,
Adam Bock, in a double billing with H.R.,
a one-act play by acclaimed local playwright, Eric Coble.

It seems to be the typical
day in a typical office.  Beverly answers
ringing phones and listens to her colleague’s romantic woes, until an unctuous
salesman, Mr. Dart, appears and disrupts the daily routine.  As the true nature of the company’s business
becomes apparent, The Receptionist
raises disquieting, provocative questions about the consequences of complicity
with evil.

The Receptionist features Lissy Gulick as Beverly and Tom Woodward as Mr. Dart.  Dobama Theatre Artistic Director Joel Hammer
directs.

Paired with The Receptionist, the World Premiere of local
favorite Eric Coble’s H.R. promises
not to be a typical day at office. The “typical” day unravels and Coble’s wit
does not disappoint!  H.R.
is directed by Joe Verciglio and features the same cast from The Receptionist.

The Receptionist and H.R. open on March 13 at
Pilgrim Congregational Church in Tremont, 2592 W. 14th St.,
Cleveland, OH, 44113.  Tickets are $8 -
