      Staff Openings for the Lorain County Pioneer Children's Theatre --

Applications for Staff Openings for the 2009 season are now being 
accepted.  These are *PAID *positions.  Applicants must be available 
Monday through Friday from approximately 8:30 a.m. to 3p.m. for four 
weeks from June 15 through July 12 and on the nights of the performance 
(July 10 and 11). Please send a cover letter and your resume by e-mail

Positions include:

*EXECUTIVE COORDINATOR:
*

The EC is the managerial leader of the production and the production 
team. The EC is responsible for assembling the production team and 
keeping that team on task by meeting with and coordinating the efforts 
of all crews. The EC oversees the management of the budget for the 
Production and has the power to make contracts with necessary service 
providers for the Production. The EC determines the job responsibilities 
of all staff members. The EC works in conjunction with the Treasurer to 
develop, implement and maintain fiscal management programs for the 
Production.

DIRECTOR:**

* The director is the creative, artistic leader of the production team.  
The director is responsible for interpreting the script, auditioning the 
actors, selecting a cast, blocking and rehearsing the cast, polishing 
the production and presenting the artistic creation for an audience.  
The director also teaches workshops in acting and other theatre activities.


*CHOREOGRAPHER:**
*

The choreographer is the creative, artistic assistant to the Director.  
The choreographer is responsible for interpreting the script, 
auditioning the actors, selecting a cast, creating teaching and 
rehearsing the cast in their dances, polishing the dances and presenting 
the artistic creation for an audience. The Choreographer also teaches 
workshops in dance.


*MUSIC DIRECTOR:*


The music director is the creative, artistic assistant to the Director. 
The music director is responsible for interpreting the script, 
auditioning the actors, selecting a cast, teaching and rehearsing the 
cast in their singing, polishing the songs and presenting the artistic 
creation for an audience. The Music Director also teaches workshops in 
music.


*TECHNICAL DIRECTOR:*


The technical director is an assistant to the director and supervises 
all technical aspects of the production including set design and 
construction, props, set painting, lights and sound. The Technical 
Director also teaches workshops in stage craft.*

COSTUMER:**

* The costumer is responsible for identifying, building, buying, 
renting, caring for and returning all costumes and accessories needed by 
the actors in the production. The Costumer also teaches workshops in 
costuming.


*BUSINESS MANAGER:*


The Business Manager serves as Publicist, Program Editor and House 
Manager for the workshop production and as Administrative Assistant for 
the overall workshop camp.  As publicist, Business Manager is 
responsible for planning and executing a publicity campaign to promote 
the production.


*MINIS DIRECTOR:*


The Minis Director teaches and supervises the primary school students 
involved in the theatre camp.
