The 48 Hour Film Project (http://www.48hourfilm.com) is an international timed film competition. Last year over 30,000 filmmakers participated in over 70 cities around the world to write, produce, and edit a short film in 48 hours! The competition culminates in the Filmapalooza National Contest. This year's Filmapalooza (featuring the 2008 48HFP city winners) is being held March 13-15 at the Miami International Film Festival.

Last year's competition involved 24 teams. All of the films were screened at the Cedar Lee Theatre, and a team of three judges helped pick the award winning films. All of the awards were announced at the Wrap Party at Anatomy Nightclub, including the 48HFP Best Film of Cleveland, "Striving for Excellence" by 529 Films. 529 Films will represent Cleveland at next weekend's Filmapalooza competition.

This year we hope to get even more people involved. Our goal is to have 48 teams participate, and have 2 nights of screenings at the Cedar Lee. We hope to continue to host many of the pre and post-competition events at Anatomy Nightclub. The competition will be held in early August, with the screenings the week following the competition.

WE'RE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR PEOPLE OR BUSINESSES TO HELP SPONSOR THIS YEAR'S 48 HOUR FILM PROJECT!

This is a great way to help promote yourself or your business. Last year the first screening was sold out, and the second was very close--we caused a traffic jam outside the theatre in between screenings! Plus many more people were involved in the competition that were not able to come to the screenings. We had press coverage from several different sources, including the Plain Dealer and Northern Ohio Live magazine. This is an exciting event for everyone involved, and the perfect opportunity to spread your message or brand with a captive audience!

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? Levels of sponsorship are completely up to you. We're looking for everything from cash donations, product freebies or discounts, advertising, or trade. Cash is king, as that is the best way to help cover the cost of marketing the competition and supporting our local filmmakers.

WHAT DO YOU GET IN RETURN? The level of sponsorship advertising is dependent upon your level of financial commitment. Possible sponsorship perks include:
Logo placement on 48HFP Cleveland website
Listing as a Sponsor or Co-Sponsor on local marketing materials
Email blasts to our 48HFP mailing list
logo placement and/or trailer advertising at 48HFP screenings
tickets to screenings and/or pre or post-competition events

Everything is negotiable! For more information on the competition please visit http://www.48hourfilm.com/cleveland. If you have questions or would like to be a sponsor please email me at cleveland at 48hourfilm.com.

Thanks!
