THE MUSIC MAN AUDITIONS AT CASSIDY THEATRE

The Story: 
An affectionate tribute to Small town, U.S.A. of a bygone era, Meredith Willson’s “The Music Man” follows fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill as he swindles the people of River City, Iowa. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain’s fall. The show includes favorite songs like “Goodnight my Someone”, “Gary Indiana”, “Marian the Librarian”, and “Seventy Six Trombones.”

AUDITION DATES:		Sunday April 5, 7:00- 9:00pm
				Monday April 6, 7:00- 9:00pm
				Tuesday April 7, 7:00- 9:00pm
				no appointment necessary

PRODUCTION DATES:	Production dates are July 10-26, 2009
				Friday and Saturday @8:00 pm,
				Sunday @ 3:00pm	

PRODUCTION STAFF:	Lester Currie, Director/ Choreographer
				David Dettloff, Music Director

NEEDED: A large cast of men and women of all ages, and children 8-18.
				
AUDITION REQUIREMENTS: 
Vocal: Prepare a song, bring sheet music in the appropriate key, accompanist will be provided. No transposing, no acapella, and no cd or tape.
Dance: Be prepared to dance, bring appropriate clothes and shoes.
