URINETOWN, THE MUSICAL

The Harmony Players will hold open auditions for URINETOWN, the musical on Monday, April 6 at 7:00
at  THE KATHLEEN HOWLAND THEATRE  324 Cleveland Ave. NW in downtown Canton. 
 
Performances are June 18-27, 2009.

All roles are available.  Those auditioning are asked to bring a prepared song with CD/tape accompaniment.  Readings will be from the script.  10 men, 6 women, and chorus are needed.  Ages 16 and older.
 
Nominated for 10 Tony Awards and winner for best book, score, and direction in 2002.
 
A water shortage leads to a government-enforced ban on private toilets.  Urine Good Company regulates the privilage to pee by charging admission to all facilities.  As the ecological disaster increases so does corporate greed.  
Soon, no one is able to pee for free.  Those seeking relief without going through proper channels are sent to URINETOWN.  
Can a young man become a hero and lead the people to the river of freedom?
