About the School
The School for Mime Theatre evolved from The Goldston School for Mimes, a center for mimes created by Gregg Goldston to work on the development of their performance skills along with the creation of writing and construction methods that would advance the art form. This fertile laboratory was guided by the vision of Goldston, C. Nicholas Johnson & Deborah Wasserman, to become one of the most vital ongoing centers for Mime in the Americas.

The School for Mime Theatre of today continues this mission as a center where artists can work in a non-competitive environment where faculty and students live and work together as a company, creating and furthering the development of the art form and their artistic directions. The School for Mime Theatre is a unique environment for mimes, actors and dancers to come together in a spirit of disciplined and playful exploration for the sake of creating vibrant new works for the theatre.

Rick Wamer, co-Artistic Director of the School for Mime Theatre will be performing at the Fifth International Annual Pantomime Festival to be held at the Shefa-Amer theatre Hall, April 9 - 12, 2009, in Israel. The Zidan Salama Institute for Culture and Arts is the sponsor/producing organization under the direction of Israeli Mime/Actor/Director, Said Salama. Rick's festival performances will take place in Shafa-Amer, Nazareth and Haifa. Gregg Goldston will also be featured during this festival. For further information visit the festival's website: Zidan Salama Institute for Culture and Arts.
