            OHIO YOUTH BALLET PRESENTS ANNUAL FUNDRAISER: 'NIGHT AT THE
RACES' 

       

CANAL FULTON -- You won't see any dancing at the Ohio Youth Ballet & Dance
School's next big function, but by participating in the dance school's
annual fund-raising event on May 9 you will help to keep dance alive in the
community.

 

"Night at the Races" begins at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, May 9 at the Elm Ridge
Party Center, 469 Elm Ridge Ave., Canal Fulton. Dinner is catered by Old
Carolina BBQ and begins at 6 p.m. Simulated horse races begin at 7 p.m.
Tickets are $60 per couple; $35 per person. Call the dance school at
330-854-1417 to purchase tickets. Forms are available at the dance school,
2387 Locust St. S., Canal Fulton, to purchase a simulated horse for $10 per
horse by April 30. 

             

The event also includes a silent auction, 50/50 drawing, raffle baskets and
other activities. Area business owners are welcome to sponsor the evening,
as well as buy an advertisement in the program. The dance school also is
looking for donations for the silent auction.

The Ohio Youth Ballet & Dance School celebrates 10 years of "Bringing Dance
to the People," and its first year of being both a non-profit dance school
and elite performance group. Students of all ages receive a high level of
training at 2387 Locust St. S., Canal Fulton. Dancers from throughout
Northeast Ohio ages 8 and older can audition for the elite performance
group, which travels to museums, schools, libraries, area festivals and
other venues to entertain and educate audience members.
