[NEohioPAL] CPH Announces High School 24 Hour Play Festival

Keybank Play House College 
is hosting a
24 Hour Play Festival 
Open to all High School Students

When: Saturday May 16 10:00am-10:00pm
  Sunday May 17 8:00am-8:00pm

Where: The Cleveland Play House
	    8500 Euclid Ave
	    Cleveland, OH 44106

What: Students will create a 10 minute play from beginning to end in 24
Hours

The Process:
.	Students meet at the Play House at 10:00am on May 16, 2009
1	Playwrights are assigned
2	Playwrights pick the following out of a hat:
.	2-4 actors names
			1	One prop
			2	One style of music 
.	Playwrights will be given the following same things to include in
the play
.	A line of dialogue
			1	An object
			2	A situation/condition
.	All plays must adhere to the following guidelines:
.	Play may have a maximum of four characters
			1	Plays must take place in no more than 2
locations.
			2	Play may not be longer than 15 pages.
.	Playwrights will write the play and hand in their completed plays by
10:00pm that evening
1	All students will reconvene at 8:00am the next morning and begin
rehearsing and creating the performance.
2	The teams will be assigned - Director, Designer, and Actors.  They
will meet and discuss needs for the production.
3	Director and actors will rehearse. Designers will go to costume and
prop shop to pick out what they need (this will be kept to bare minimum).  
4	At 6:00pm All groups will rehearse in the space.
5	8:00pm curtain for families and friends.
