With a cool, smooth and diverse sound, saxophonist Dave Koz seemingly
came out of nowhere when his self titled 1990 release made it onto the
Billboard contemporary jazz charts and stayed for weeks. Almost 20
years later, the six-time Grammy Award nominee will be honored with a
star on Hollywood Boulevard's Walk of Fame. Koz has played with such
musical luminaries as Burt Bacharach, Ray Charles, Natalie Cole, Celine
Dion, Kenny Loggins, Michael McDonald, Luther Vandross and Rod Stewart,
among others.
