[NEohioPAL] New Swing Dance! First Fridays of the month in Canton! June 5 & July 3!

This dance is sponsored by Arts in Stark, First Fridays, the Downtown Canton
Development Association, and Get Hep Swing. The pre-dance lessons will be
done by the Get Hep Swing teachers and dancers. June 5th will be the first
one and July 3rd will be the second one. They will evaluate if they should
continue with the Canton First Friday Swing Dances after the second dance.
Sooo if you live in the Akron, Kent, Hudson, Canton, etc., area and you
would like to have a swing dance option that is nearer to you; you NEED to
come to the first two dances down in Canton and bring all of your friends so
that the organizations sponsoring this event know this is a viable option
financially.

 

Beginner Jitterbug lesson from 8-9

Open social dancing from 9 to midnight.

Only $10 per person and only $8 for students with a valid id!

 

No previous dance experience required!  No partner needed!

June 5th --  Hepcat Revival

July 3rd--  Blues Deville

 

There is a bar that will be open just to the swing dancers and then the
outside patio has a bar that is open to the public. The outside patio is
beautiful by the way. From what I have heard the Blue Olive is an amazing
restaurant right in the bottom level of the building where the dance will be
held. There will be many art galleries open that night, street performers
everywhere, and free activities for children early on in the evening. Lots
of reasons to come down to Canton right after work and just spend your
evening enjoying all of the terrific things that downtown 

Canton has to offer.
