[NEohioPAL] Peter and the Wolf

I want to issue an invitation to you to bring your children or grandchildren
to our TrueNorth Symphony Family Concert next weekend, featuring a
performance of "Peter and the Wolf."  The program is designed to appeal to
children from 6 to 12 and will be quite interactive - they won't get bored!
They will be introduced to the instruments of the orchestra in the context
of the story of Peter (strings) and his friends, the duck (oboe), the bird
(flute), and the cat (clarinet), who have quite an adventure with the wolf
(French horns), the hunters (percussion), and a grumpy Grandfather
(bassoon).  The story will be narrated by Rick Fortney.

 

We will also perform "Return of the Jedi" from Star Wars, and use that music
to teach about the orchestra as well.

 

The performances are on Saturday, May 30 at 11:00 am, and Sunday, May 31 at
4:00 pm, at the French Creek Nature Center, 4530 Colorado Ave. (Route 611)
in Sheffield Village.  Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children up to
age 18.  They can be purchased on-line at
