ABOUT:
**This five day film camp features student campers writing, scripting, casting, scouting, shooting, and acting in their very own movie, commercial, and music video!  Campers have access to several Sony HDR-FX1 High Definition video cameras along with all the necessary movie equipment like boom microphones, professional lighting kits, and editing using the latest version of Final Cut Pro. 


Monday

Introduction to camp staff

Film making overview & hands on activities

Introduction to all film equipment

Writing session to develop ideas for screenplays

Break into screenwriting groups and write a short film

Introduction to audition techniques & sample monologue



Tuesday

Record monologues and prepare to audition for movie role

Script distributed to campers and group table read

Casting session and technical assignments

Create shooting schedule

Introduction to story boarding

Hitting your mark!  The art of a perfect shot!

Film Production



Wednesday

Short Film Production



Thursday

The art of making a commercial

Campers are given a product to make a commercial that will sell the item

Campers will also spend time editing their short film and commercial.



Friday

The art of making a music video

Shooting & editing original music videos

Friday Wrap party with Q & A session
