Beck Center's 7-week summer session in Dance begins the week of June 15.  Beck Center offers dance classes for all ages and abilities.  Classes are offered in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, hip hop, modern dance, Pilates, Gyrokinesis, Body Beautiful, preballet, and preschool dance. Dance Camp will be held the week of July 6-10 for dancers ages 7-14.  Students will be split by age and level on the first day of camp.  Ballet technique is offered each day along with classes in modern jazz, modern dance, hiphop, ensemble improvisation, character dance, musical theater, and variations.  Also included is dance history, mime, auditions, make up, and nutrition for the dancer.  Camp runs from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. daily.  Families are invited to attend a demonstration on Friday, June 12 at 1:15 when students will share some of the dance techniques they have learned.   

Beck's talented dance faculty includes:  Kelly Brunk, Susan Cesa, Joan Hartshorne, Richard Larkin, Anna Roberts, Lynda Sackett, Mimi Schwensen, Devon Shriver, and Melanie Szucs  

Beck Center for the Arts is a nonprofit, comprehensive arts organization offering professional theater on two stages, arts education in creative arts therapies, dance, early childhood, music, theater  and visual arts; as well as gallery exhibits featuring local and regional artists.  Beck Center is located at 17801 Detroit Avenue in Lakewood.
