The Conneaut Community Center for the Arts, located in the northeast corner of Ohio, is seeking singers and/or bands for a 1940s USO-style show August 21, 2009.

For the past 10 years, a D-Day landing reenactment has taken place at Conneaut Township Park. Historians, reenactors, veterans, friends and family spend two days reliving history on the shores of Lake Erie.

This year, the Conneaut Community Center for the Arts is planning a free USO-style show for the community and visitors on Friday, August 21st, 2009 at 6 p.m. We are seeking 40s-style performers; big band-sound, crooners, boogie-woogie groups, etc. Performers will be compensated for their services. The show will last approximately 2 total hours, not including a 15 minute intermission. It will be held outside on the North lawn of the Center, overlooking Lake Erie in the Newcomb Performing Arts Terrace -this is an intimate venue, with a gorgeous view of the lake. A sound system is available, but you are also free to bring your own.

If you or your group are interested in performing, or you would like more information, please contact Jennifer or Penny at 440-593-5888.
