Great news for Indie and Horror film fans, Justin Russell's Death Stop Holocaust, shot in NE Ohio in 2008 is ready to premier on July 11 and 16 at the Cedar Lee.  Screening @ 9PM both dates.

This feature film was shot entirely on Red Rock digital, the first horror feature to do so, giving it a rich 35 mm look (great for the horror effects!). 

Already a hot topic on Fangoria and other horror websites, come see what the buzz is about and meet the cast. Shot in Lakewood, Litchfield and featuring Ohio talent Lisa Krenisky, E. Ray Goodwin, Jenna Fournier, James Emmett, Tyson Rand and myself, this film pays homage to classic 70's horror.

"Death Stop Holocaust" is a horror film meant to push the envelope & is a graphic throw back to the 1970's Grindhouse films (in particular, the Italian's movies of that period). The film is a gory & raw ride that takes place over a two-day stint in the lives of two young women. While heading to a summer home for vacation on a remote island, Liz & Taylor happen upon a group of locals that torture & kill outsiders. While desperately trying to find help, it becomes more & more obvious that the entire island is in on the ruse & will stop at nothing to preserve their secret.




At it's root, it's a slasher film, but not your current everyday Hollywood-esque horror film. "Death Stop Holocaust" is going back to the roots of true horror where atmosphere & ominous ambience were the real scare. With a classic story & a presence, "Death Stop Holocaust" will shock audiences & delight true horror fans.
