Trumpet Lessons Available in Tremont and Cleveland Heights. 

 

Local freelancer Erik Hasselquist, who has taught in Cleveland Heights since 2005, is now offering lessons at his home in Tremont just a few minutes drive from westside suburbs, with easy access from I-490 and off street parking.

 

Mr. Hasselquist holds an Artist's Diploma from the Cleveland Institute of Music. While studying there with Cleveland Orchestra principal trumpet, Michael Sachs, Erik was the winner of the Bernard Adelstein Prize in Trumpet, the Dr. Calvin E. Weber Award in Trumpet, and the Helen Curtis Webster Award. Prior to attending CIM, Erik attended and graduated from Arizona State University Magna cum Laude, where he had been a recipient of a full-tuition Regent's Scholarship.

 

Mr. Hasselquist is the Second Trumpet in the Canton Symphony, a regular substitute with the Cleveland Orchestra, and the founder and leader of the Ohio Brass Ensembles and the Cleveland Brass Quintet. Erik has been teaching lessons since 1999, and has a proven track record as a teacher having placed students in several music schools nationally, including the New England Conservatory of Music.
