The brand new Breen Center for the Performing Arts on the campus of Saint Ignatius High School invites all performers, artists, technicians, administrators, and others to an open house on Sunday, September 20. Arrive anytime between 1:00 and 4:00 for an "all access" self-guided visit. The Breen Center is located at the corner of West 30th and Lorain Avenue. We are five minutes from Downtown Cleveland, and parking is free.

The Breen Center used the same theatrical consulting and architectural team that created the renovated Hanna Theatre. The building features top-of-the-line, state-of-the-art technical abilities including Clancy automated rigging, a full orchestra pit, 300 amps of power on isolated company switches, Secoa acoustic concert towers/pillows, and direct truck-to-stage loan in.

There is a 540 seat audience chamber, three large dressing rooms, and a mirrored dance/rehearsal space. The audience chamber becomes an acoustically tunable concert hall. Manipulating the acoustic drapery, towers, and pillows, the Breen Center can be an intimate chamber music hall, or a robust concert venue.

The large lobby is an art display space for 2D and 3D art. We invite local artists to display works for sale and are open to other ideas for using the 3,000sf gallery space.

The building's business, technical, and artistic staff will be on hand for demonstrations and to answer questions. No reservations are necessary for the open house. If you have questions, or would like to visit at another time, contact Facility Manager Art Thomas 216 961-2563, or Technical Director Bill Amato 216 651-0222 x482.
