Please consider joining OddyFest for the drama-rific sophomore program of
our sophomore year, *"October Revolutions," this Friday, October 2, at 7:15
p.m. at the Brody-Nelson Room of the Cleveland Heights Library (2345 Lee
Road).* Slated for the program are two plays ("Trotsky" by Matt Greenfield
and "Gandhi & Hitler" by Michael Oatman) that explore revolutionary figures,
as well as some Russian songs from Cat Kenney, just for the heck of it. The
whole show is *FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC*! This Friday's show also
features a special poetry reading. And, just as a reminder, next Friday
10/9 after Dobama's "Ten More Minutes from Cleveland" is an OddyFest preview
featuring some "Trotsky", some poetry, and some OSU-alluding comedic action!

Hope to see you there!

*October Revolutions: OddyFest #14*

* *

*Oddy’s October set of plays takes a look at three idealistic early
twentieth-century men who wanted to change the world, and did change it (and
themselves) in ways that they could never have anticipated...*

* *

*Russian songs by Cat R. Kenney & Joe Barone*

* *

In honor of “Trotsky,” OddyFest music director Joe Barone plays a few
original tunes sung in Russian and written by Cat Kenney.

*“Trotsky” by Matt Greenfield*

* *

The greatest trick this Russian revolutionary pulled was not winning the
civil war, but creating a self called “Leon Trotsky” from his humble origins
as Lev Bronstein, sacrificing family and identity for the sake of
monomaniacal idealism.

*“Gandhi and Hitler” by Michael Oatman*

* *

A meditation on good, evil, and rock-n-roll: Adolf and Mahatma chat it up in
Purgatory, discussing their respective legacies in history while observing a
Slipknot concert.

*NOW ON THE ODD **FRIDAYS**!*

*October 2 / October 16*

* *

*Show starts at 7:15 *

* *

*BRODY-NELSON ROOM*

*of the Cleveland Heights Library, Lee Road Branch*

*(2345 Lee Road, just next to the stairs)*

* *

*FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!*

* *

*(Though, if you really want to give money to OddyFest,*

*Oddy T’s, CD’s, and books will be available)*
