TrueNorth Symphony Announces 2009-2010 Season

The TrueNorth Symphony, directed by James E. Traxler, announces its
2009-2010 season with a series of concerts to be performed at TrueNorth at
French Creek Nature Center in Sheffield Village.

The first concert will be the traditional Christmas concert on December 18
and 19 with the TrueNorth Chorale under the direction of Richard A. Fortney,
founder and executive director of TrueNorth Cultural Arts. The Symphony
will perform works by Leroy Anderson and Hershey Kay, and accompany the
Chorale in a major new work by Joseph Martin, "A World of Christmas." The
TrueNorth Brass will also perform the Pinkham Christmas Cantata with the
Chorale. The concert will include many familiar carols arranged by Mack
Wilberg and John Rutter.

On February 26th and 27th, the Symphony will present its all-symphonic
concert with a theme of "The ABC's of Symphonic Music" featuring works by
Anderson, Bach, and Copland. Bach's Double Keyboard Concerto in C Major
will introduce soloists James and Cassandra Clouser. The Copland work will
be excerpts from the Billy the Kid Suite.

March 26 and 27 brings the Spring Concert with the TrueNorth Chorale,
performing another new work by Joseph Martin, "Song of Wisdom."

And finally, our new tradition of presenting Family Concerts will occur on
May 22 and 23, with a reprise of the popular "Peter and the Wolf" and other
educational compositions. A new feature of this concert will be an
"Instrument Petting Zoo," where children will be able to try out several of
the instruments of the orchestra, assisted by TrueNorth Symphony musicians.

The TrueNorth Symphony rehearses on Monday evenings from 7:15 to 9:15 at the
French Creek Nature Center, 4530 Colorado Ave. (Rte. 611) in Sheffield
Village. Musicians wishing to join the Symphony are encouraged to contact
Mr. Traxler directly at 440-554-4519 or call the TrueNorth office at
