      A Murder of Scarecrows

Director Jerry Jaffe is seeking a male actor 18+ to fill a vacant role 
*IMMEDIATELY* in /A Murder of Scarecrows/. This is a smaller role in the 
Halloween-themed comedy/mystery which opens *next weekend*. Please email

*Show Dates:* October 16 - 31, 2009, Friday and Saturday nights.

*Plot:* Pat Cook's comedic mystery about a haunted, axe-wielding 
scarecrow that turns the Dandridges' annual Halloween party into a 
hilarious thriller.


      Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka

Director Julia Kolibab is seeking additional men and women for adult 
singing roles in /Willy Wonka/, including some larger roles (Mrs.

his quest to find an heir comes to life in this stage adaptation of 
/Charlie and The Chocolate Factory/, featuring songs from the classic 
family film.

      The Maltese Bodkin

Times were tough for hard boiled detective Birnam Wood. He never asked 
to be in London, especially in 1605. When his partner is murdered, Wood 
has to find the killer amid a vast cast of suspects that includes (among 
others) Viola, Richard III, Falstaff, Iago, Mercutio, and a merchant 
from Venice . But the real solution to the mystery seems to be in 
discovering the secret behind a mysterious dagger known as the Maltese 
Bodkin. The worlds of detective fiction and Shakespeare collide in this 
"who hath done it" by playwright David Belke.

*Show dates: *Fridays & Saturdays at 8, January 15 - February 6, 2010

*Audition Dates:*

Sunday, November 8th from 7-9 PM at the River Street Playhouse, 56 River 
St.
Monday, November 9th from 7-9 PMin the River Room at CVLT, 40 River St.
Callbacks - Wednesday, November 11 from 7-9 PM at the River Street 
Playhouse, 56 River St.

Director* David Malinowksi *is seeking* four men and two women. *Acting 
resumes and headshots are welcome but not required. Come prepared to 
read from the script.


      Mr. Death and the Redheaded Woman

An original one-act musical of the Old West by Bill Rowe (music and 
lyrics) and Shelley Costa (book) to be performed at our River Street 
Playhouse, 56 River Street. Directed by Shelley Costa.

*Show dates: *Fridays & Saturdays at 8, February 12 - 27

*Audition dates: *

Monday, November 9, 7-9 PM
Tuesday, November 10, 7-9 PM
Callbacks on Thursday November 12, 7-9 PM
Auditions at 56 River Street, adjacent to the main CVLT building

*Seeking:*

    * Two women 20s to 50s
    * Two men 20s to 40s.

* Roles: *

    * Mr. Death, baritone;
    * The Redheaded Woman (can be wigged), soprano;
    * Billy-be-damn Bangtry, tenor;
    * Granny, alto.

Come prepared to sing a cappella. Come prepared to move. A short, 
prepared monologue is appreciated, but we will read from the script.
