he Theatre Guild at The University of Akron, in collaboration with Prodigal Productions and First Grace Arts, will hold OPEN AUDITIONS for 
Elton John & Tim Rice’s electrifying rock musical “AIDA”!!

Monday, October 19th, 7-9PPM
Tuesday, October 20th, 5-7PM
In Sandefur Theatre, Guzzetta Hall on the campus of The University of Akron

Performance Dates: February 19th thru the 28th, 2010

- Auditioners should memorize and prepare one to two minutes of any Elton John song. Please bring sheet music, prepared and in the correct key. 

- Accompanist will be provided. No ‘a cappella’ or recorded accompaniments. 

- Also, you will be asked to read from the script, and should come dressed for movement. 

All roles are OPEN! Available roles include: 

AIDA - Nubian Princess. Gospel alto with high belt range. 
AMNERIS - Eqyptian Princess. Supermodel with an Alto rock belt. 
RADAMES - Egyptian general. Gorgeous male with a high rock tenor. 
ZOSER - Radames’ father. Strong rock baritone/tenor. 
MAREB - Radame’s Nubian servant. Baritone/Tenor. 

Many excellent supporting roles are also available including Gospel Chorus, Dancers, and more!!!

The Grammy-winning Original Broadway Cast album is available for download on ITunes!
