"Forbidden Broadway"
Auditions for "Forbidden Broadway" will be Sat. Nov. 7 from 1-3 p.m. & Sun. Nov. 8 from 6-8 p.m. Please come prepared with a vocal selection and a short monologue of about 90 seconds plus your list of conflicts.
Created and written by Gerard Alessandrini and directed by Kim Godfrey of Perry, this satirical review spoofs show tunes, characters and plots of contemporary and current Broadway musicals and was such a popular show on Broadway that it ran for 27 years! Rewritten several times to include parodies of newer shows, including "Phantom of the Opera," "Wicked," "Les Mis," "Hairspray," "The Lion King," and many more, this production is bound to be the highlight event on the post Christmas calendar! Performances will be held on Jan. 15, 16, 17, 22, 23, 24, 29, 30, 2010.
"Diary of Anne Frank"
Auditions for "The Diary of Anne Frank" will be Mon. Nov. 30 and Weds. Dec. 2 at 6 p.m. Readings will be from the script. Please bring your list of conflicts.
Winner of the Pulitzer Prize, Tony Award, Critics Circle Award, and virtually every other coveted prize of the theatre "The Diary of Anne Frank" by Frances Goodrich & Albert Hackett, and newly adapted by Wendy Kesselman will bring to life the true World War II story of the Jewish girl whose family hides in an attic in hopes of escaping the Nazis. Tender, amusing, enlightening, and moving "The Diary of Anne Frank" directed by Stephen Rhodes of Conneaut, will be performed Feb. 12, 13, 14, 19, 20, 21, 26, 27, 2010
"You Can't Take it With You"
Auditions for "You Can't Take It With You" will be Sun., Jan. 3, from 1-3 and Mon. & Tues., Jan. 4 & 5, from 6-8. Readings will be from the script. Please bring your list of conflicts.
The cheerfully eccentric Vanderhof clan are a zany bunch who pursue whatever activity seizes their passion in Moss Hart's and George S. Kaufman's "You Can't Take it With You." When their daughter Alice announces her boyfriend's rich, conservative parents are coming to dinner; the family agrees to act "normal." But when the prospective in-laws show up on the wrong night...the fireworks fly! Directed by Clay Nielsen of Madison, the show will be performed on March 19, 20, 21, 26, 27, 28, 2010.
