                                                          FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Youngstown Playhouse will hold auditions for the upcoming production of THE FABRIC OF A MAN, Monday and Tuesday, December 7 and 8 at 7 p.m. at the theatre, 600 Playhouse Lane, Youngstown.

Written by David E. Talbert, and with music by Robbie Lewis and Brent Jones, THE FABRIC OF A MAN concerns a young, fledgling fashion designer, Dominique, who is in love with Blair Godfrey, a self centered stock broker, who prefers Dominique to concentrate less on her career, and more on him. One night at an "old school" dry cleaners, Dominique, meets a handsome tailor, Joshua King, who takes interest in more than her designs. Torn between the comfort of financial security and the potential of a new romance, Dominique is forced to decide which man is made of the right "fabric" for her.

Director, John R. Herbert, needs an African American cast of men and women age 21-65, and 3 high school students. There are both singing and non-singing roles available. All roles are open. Auditioners are asked to bring a wallet size photo and will read from the script. Actors auditioning for singing roles will be asked to sing Acapella.

THE FABRIC OF A MAN, one of two special events scheduled on the Playhouse season, will be performed on weekends, February 5-7, and 12-14. For further information, call the box office at (330) 788-8739.
