The Chalk Garden

CHARACTERS 
Females:
Little Lady (30’s and up)
Third Lady (30’s and up)
Miss Madrigal (30’s)
Laurel (16 years old)
Mrs. St. Maugham (60’s)
Nurse (late 20’s to early 30’s)
Olivia (30’s)

Males:
Maitland (late 40’s-50’s)
Judge (60’s)

THE STORY: 
This psychological mystery explores the secret world of childhood through the prism of a dyed-in-the-wool British dowager Mrs. St. Maugham and her precocious and equally eccentric granddaughter Laurel. When enigmatic Miss Madrigal is hired as household companion and manager, the two finally meet their match.
 
GENERAL INFORMATION:
Audition Dates:  Monday, November 30 and Tuesday, December 1 at 7:30pm sharp.  Auditions will be held at Clague Playhouse, 1371 Clague Road, Westlake.

Please bring an audition photo and résumé.

Auditioners will be asked to do cold readings from the script.

Production Dates:  March 5 - 28, 2010 on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8PM and Sundays at 2PM.

Directed by Ron Newell.

A perusal script is available at the Clague Playhouse Box Office for a $10 deposit through November 27, 2009. Box Office hours are Wednesday - Saturday from 1-6pm.  (Closed on Thanksgiving-Nov. 26)
