*About the story…***

*The Velveteen Rabbit*

by Margery Williams

The Velveteen Rabbit is the story of a stuffed rabbit and his quest to
become “real” after being snubbed by the more expensive nursery toys. But
what makes something "real "– how well it is made or how well it is loved?

***About the show…***

The Stories on Stage program presents young performers with the opportunity
to take a classic children’s story and make it their own. Director and
instructor Dominick Chicotel works with the Stories on Stage students to
craft an original adaptation from each story chosen. For the last six years
SCA has successfully presented these productions at local libraries as well
as in the Calvetta Bros. Floor Show Theater. The Stories on Stage program
promotes creativity as well as literacy in both audience members and
participants.
