*About the Play*

*I Love a Piano* is a musical tribute to the talent and creativity of the
king of American song, Irving Berlin. The play follows a piano from its
delivery to a music store in 1910 to its final home as a rehearsal piano for
a summer stock theater in the 1950’s. The story provides an opportunity for
six talented actors to present 62 of Berlin’s classic melodies.

Ranging from “Puttin’ on the Ritz,” through “God Bless America,” to the
score of the musical “Annie Get Your Gun,” the virtuosity of this giant of
American popular music shines through. Following the lives of the piano’s
multiple owners over forty years provides the audience with an historical
panorama of fabulously tuneful music – the kind that you can actually sing
along with and whose melody stays with you.

*Performance Days & Times:*
