Zippy Makes a Splash!

On Saturday, March 27th, The University of Akron 's Dance Department will
host an eco-friendly dance and craft workshop for Kids of All Ages!

Wearing flippers and snorkel gear, The University of Akron mascot Zippy will
join the dancers performing "Zippy's Protection Zoo: Zippy Makes A Splash"
at 2:30 PM, at Summit Artspace, 140 E. Market Street, Akron.

Featuring colorfully costumed dancers from The University of Akron, "Zippy
Makes a Splash" is a fun way to learn about endangered underwater species
including Purple Marsch Crabs, Sea Otters, Blue Whales, and Leatherback Sea
Turtles - and what we can do to help prevent these creatures from becoming
extinct.

The 30-minute performance is free. Families with children ages pre-school
through fifth grade are especially welcome.
Beginning at 1:30 PM, families can also and create eco-friendly crafts,
assisted by students from UA's award-winning Art Education Program.

Reservations are not required but space is limited. For
more information please call 330-972-7948 or email us at
administration.arts at gmail. com. More information about the program is
available at www.uakron.edu/dtaa <http://www.uakron.edu/>
