THE ART OF THE DANCE AUDITION - A ONE DAY WORKSHOP

*Age: *6th grade/Adult
*Location:* Mayfield Village Civic Center

This workshop is designed to give you inside tips on how to go into a
dance audition
with confidence. Basics include center floor work, traveling across the
floor, combinations, ballet and jazz, leaps and turns and simple partner
steps. Attention will be paid to alignment, posture and flexibility. To ease
the non dancer into the audition process, the workshop will cover dance
 terminology, dance class etiquette, how to prepare, what to wear and how to
“put your best foot forward.” The first two hours will be all dancing,
during the lunch break there will be a discussion about how to prepare,
followed by another hour of combinations, and partner work.
