Okay, guys and gals, it's taken a while to figure all the kinks out for this
group, but it looks like this time auditions will really happen and we'll
get this group off the ground!

AUDITIONS FOR vocalFISSION, a Northeast Ohio Mixed Contemporary A Cappella
Group.

vocalFISSION, a brand new Northeast Ohio Mixed Contemporary A Cappella
Group, is holding auditions during the month of April!

WHAT: A Cappella. Sans instruments. Only the voice. Contemporary songs,
arrangements, and sounds made by really cool people!

WHERE: Northeast Ohio, with auditions being held in the Cleveland and Akron
areas during the month of April.

WHO: Me, of course. Bryan Guffey. And YOU, hopefully! Specifically, singers
between the ages of 21 and 35(ish) who love music of all genres, are willing
to take risks, have a varied vocal background that hopefully includes some a
cappella (collegiate or professional preferred, but not required), are
talented, dedicated workers, who want to perform and gig around Northeast
Ohio(and maybe farther) on a part-time basis. Looking for between 8 and 12
voices, with the male/female split being determined by who auditions.

WHEN: Auditions during the month of April, locations TBA and determined by
the availability of the auditionees. Rehearsal commitments of between 4 and
6 hours per week. Planning to start gigging within 4 months, and the optimum
gigging level to be 4-6 times a month, unless the group deicdes otherwise.

WHY: Mainly, because a cappella is AWESOME! becuase you love to sing, have
fun with a great group of people, improve your singing, sight-reading,
arranging, dancing and whatever chops! because you can't imagine life
without music and your voice being a part of it. because there's not enough
a cappella in Northeast Ohio and you've been dying to start something like
this, or jsut because you ate a banana today and have a whole bunch of
energy!

short paragraph or two about you, your background and why this makes you
want to jump for joy. Bryan will get back to you within 48 hours.

ABOUT BRYAN: Bryan Guffey has been singing since he was old enough to talk;
1983, to be exact. A bass/baritone with a fierce falsetto, Bryan has
performed all across the United States and around the world for the last
seven years. Currently living, in Cleveland, Ohio, Bryan started his first a
cappella group while in high school, and a cappella has been his love ever
since. A graduate of Kent State University, Bryan holds a BFA in Musical
Theatre and is a proud member of Actor's Equity. Some of his
accomplishments: Assistant Vocal Director for Frank Wildhorn's FOR THE GLORY
in Gettysburg, PA with Rob Evan, Keith Byron Kirk and Michael Lanning,
Producer of the sold-out GLSEN benefit concert of ZANNA, DON'T featuring
Broadway's Marty Thomas, and Marketing Manager for A Cappella Records. Most
recently, Bryan sailed around the world with such luminaries as Blue
Jupiter's Tim Foust, singing in the a cappella group Full Sail.
