THE LOSS OF A TEARDROP DIAMOND, a 2009 movie based on a newly-discovered, never-before-filmed original screenplay penned in 1957 by the great Tennessee Williams, will receive its exclusive Cleveland-area premiere on Saturday, April 10 at 7:20 pm and on Sunday, April 11 at 8:20 pm at the Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque, 11141 East Boulevard in University Circle, telephone (216) 421-7450, www.cia.edu/cinemathreque<http://www.cia.edu/cinemathreque>. Tickets (at the door only) are $8.

Set in 1920s Memphis, the film stars Bryce Dallas Howard as a headstrong debutante who tries to pass off the impoverished son of a drunk as a wealthy suitor that her prominent family will embrace. Chris Evans, Will Patton, Ellen Burstyn, and Ann-Margret co-star in this movie directed by Jodie Markell. The Los Angeles Times called it "a film to savor."
