DOBAMA THEATRE ANNOUNCES


AUDITIONS!


 

FOR THE 32ND MARILYN BIANCHI KIDS' PLAYWRITING FESTIVAL

 

ROLES AVAILABLE FOR ADULTS, TEENS AND CHILDREN

 

Saturday, May 8th and Monday May 10th!

 

THIS WILL BE THE FIRST FESTIVAL IN THE NEW DOBAMA THEATRE!

THE FESTIVAL IS THE OLDEST OF ITS KIND IN THE COUNTRY.

  BE A PART OF DOBAMA THEATRE AND ITS RICH HISTORY.

 

THE FESTIVAL IS A FUN FILLED CELEBRATION OF PLAYS WRITTEN BY ELEMENTARY AND
HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS.  

SOME ARE FUNNY, SOME ARE TOUCHING, SOME ARE PROVOCATIVE.

 

THIS YEAR WE WILL BE INCLUDING NIGHT KITCHEN PLAYS WHICH ARE  GEARED MORE
TOWARDS A TEEN AND ADULT AUDIENCE

 

WORK WITH SOME FANTASTIC DIRECTORS INCLUDING JULIETTE REGNIER, JOYCE CASEY,
DANA HART, SHARRON MCPHERSON-FOXX, DOMINICK CHICOTEL, LYNNA METRISIN, GREG
CESEAR, AND OTHERS.

 

 

IF YOU HAVE SUBMITTED A PLAY TO THE FESTIVAL - WINNERS HAVE NOT YET BEEN
ANNOUNCED

 


AUDITION TIMES:


 

Saturday, May 8th from 2:30 - 5:00  (2:30 to 3:30 - under 13, 3:30-5:00
teens and adults)
Monday, May 10th Sunday from 7-9 - (7:00 to 8:00 under 13, 8:00-9:00 teens
and adults) 

 

AUDITION PLACE: 

 

Dobama Theatre

2340 Lee Road, Cleveland Heights - auditions will be held downstairs in the
theatre

Parking is available behind building and across the street

 

WHAT TO PREPARE:

 

Please bring picture and resume if you have one and a list of your conflicts

We will be reading from the scripts

 

DATES OF FESTIVAL:

June 17th through the 20th - Thurs, Fri, Sat evenings, and Sat and Sun
afternoon
