The Youngstown Playhouse will hold auditions for the Tony Award winning musical. CHICAGO, Friday and Saturday, June 25 and 26 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, June 27 at 2 p.m. Auditions are open to the public and all roles are available.

CHICAGO, set in Prohibition -era Chicago, is a universal tale of fame, fortune and "all that jazz." with one show stopping Kander and Ebb tune after another, and a book co-written by Ebb and the legendary Broadway choreographer, Bob Fosse. In addition to receiving several Tonys, CHICAGO also won two Olivier awards, and a Drama Desk Award. The show played over 900 performances on Broadway in its initial run and was successfully revived in the mid- 90's.

The Playhouse production of CHICAGO will be directed by veteran actor-playwright-choreographer and director, David Jendre, who will need a large cast of males and females, age 16 and up. Auditioners are asked to bring sheet music to sing. An accompanist will be provided. They should also come dressed comfortably to dance. A wallet size photo is also requested

CHICAGO will open the Playhouse's 86th season with performances on weekends, September 10-12 and September 17-19.
