/The Dixie Swim Club/ is a heartwarming comedy about the power of
friendship by Jessie Jones (/Kingdom Come/), Nicholas Hope & Jamie
Wooten (/Golden Girls)/. The play focuses on five Southern women who met
on their college swim team and have set aside a long weekend every
August to meet up at the same beach cottage on North Carolina's Outer
Banks to recharge their relationships. Free from their husbands,
children, and jobs, the ladies catch up, laugh and meddle in each
other's lives. The Dixie Swim Club focuses on four of those weekends and
spans a period of thirty-three years, during which life flings
challenges at them, throws wrenches into their plans, and helps them
prove the enduring power of 'teamwork'.

Sheree (Jackie Cassara), the spunky team captain, desperately tries to
maintain her organized and 'perfect' life, and continues to be the
group's leader. Dinah (Chris White), the wise-cracking overachiever, is
a career dynamo, but her victories in the courtroom are in stark
contrast to the frustrations of her personal life. Lexie (Denise
Bernstein), the pampered and outspoken one, is determined to hold on to
her looks and youth as long as possible, and enjoys being married -
repeatedly. The self-deprecating and acerbic Vernadette (Kate Tonti),
acutely aware of the dark cloud that hovers over her life, has decided
to just give in and embrace the chaos. And sweet, eager-to-please Jeri
Neal (Jenny Barrett) experiences a late entry into motherhood that takes
them all by surprise.

    */ Our 81st Season - 2010/2011 <http://cvlt.org/81stSeason/index.php>/*

Chagrin Valley Little Theatre is pleased to announce its 81st Season,
which begins in September! Keep your eyes out for our brand new
subscription options, which offer more flexibility than ever before!

*MURDER BY THE FALLS: Who Ya Gonna Call? (Sep. 10 - Sep. 11 2010)* Our
81st Season kicks off with CVLT's 25th annual mystery fundraiser!
Psychics and mediums descend on CVLT when the theatre's resident ghost
starts to cause havoc - help Inspector Gotcha and Detective Ketchum get
to the bottom of the mystery!

* CONCERT with CHAGRIN FALLS STUDIO ORCHESTRA (Sept. 17 - 19 2010)*
Musical director Stephen A. Eva and director Don Edelman team up for
their third annual musical event, with the full Chagrin Falls Studio
Orchestra on stage.

*DR. JEKYLL AND MR. HYDE (Oct. 15 - Oct. 30 2010)* In George Osterman's
darkly comedic adaptation of the classic tale, the good Dr. Jekyll
drinks his own special concoction and becomes the vile Mr. Hyde (played
by four separate actors), a standup comedian who spouts an act that's
filled with hatred.

*TBA (Oct. 29 - Nov. 13 2010)* at The River Street Playhouse, 56 River
St. More to come...

*ANNIE (Nov. 19 - Dec. 18 2010)* Everyone's favorite orphan is back at
CVLT for the holiday season in the classic musical written by Thomas
Meehan, with the Strouse/Charmin songs you know and love, like
"Tomorrow", "Easy Street", "Maybe" and "It's the Hard Knock Life".

*HILLARY: A MODERN GREEK TRAGEDY (Nov. 26 - Dec. 11 2010) at The River
Street Playhouse *Yes, /that/ Hillary. Wendy Weiner's hilarious take on
Washington's shenanigans, which tells of the young Ms. Rodham, who
devotes her life to the Greek goddess Athena. When Aphrodite gets
jealous, she takes her revenge in the form of a man: Bill Clinton.

*BLOODY MURDER (Jan. 14 - Feb. 5 2011)* Ed Sala presents an Agatha
Christie-style "whodunit", with six suspicious characters locked in Lady
Somerset's countryside estate, trying to unravel a murder. The wealthy
Lady is convinced that they are merely characters in a mystery story,
and the play itself becomes a hilarious battle between the writer and
his creations!

*DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS (Mar. 17 - Apr. 16 2011) *David Yazbek's hit
musical, with book by Jeffrey Lane, based on the 1988 film of the same
name. The dapper Lawrence and rascally Freddie are con-men who
unsuccessfully attempt to join forces, only to find that the town just
isn't big enough for both of them. They agree to a "loser leaves town"
bet over young woman and her money, and end up getting more than either
of them bargained for!

*UNDER THE LINTEL (Apr. 29 - May 14 2011) at The River Street Playhouse,
56 River St. *Robert Hawkes stars in Glen Berger's one-man show, the
story of a Danish librarian who goes in search of a book that is 113
years overdue. His quest takes him on a lifechanging journey that spans
the globe, the results of which have both mystical and spiritual
implications.

*DON'T DRESS FOR DINNER (June 3 - 25 2011) *Robin Hawdon's adaptation of
Marc Camoletti's comedy, a smash hit in London and Paris. A
breakneck-speed, mistaken identity farce about a man who takes his
mistress to a quiet little farmhouse for a weekend getaway, only to be
hampered by his best friend, his cook, and more.

*TEN-TEN FESTIVAL (July 1 - 16 2011)* CVLT's successful festival of ten
ten-minute, one-act plays returns to the River Street Playhouse,
featuring premiere works by playwrights from Northeast Ohio and beyond.

*THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW (July 4 - Aug. 20 2011) *Richard O'Brien's 1973
musical, which spawned the cult-classic film. When naive teens Brad and
Janet stumble into the castle of the lust-driven transvestite alien, Dr.
Frank-N-Furter, it's a raucous, rock-n-roll, B-movie sendup you won't forget

*2 ACROSS (Aug 12 - 27 2011) at The River Street Playhouse, 56 River St.
* Jerry Mayer's romantic comedy about two strangers who meet in a
commuter train. She, the organized and sensible psychologist, inspires
him, the free-spirited and unemployed ad exec, to finally finish the New
York Times crossword puzzle.
