Mercury Summer Stock kicks off its residency at the Cleveland Play House with Andrew Lloyd Weber’s new classic Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, June 11-26, 2010. The Biblical saga of Joseph and his coat of many colors comes to vibrant life in this delightful musical parable. Helmed by Artistic Director Pierre-Jacques Brault, Mercury Summer Stock’s Joseph… promises a new twist on the familiar narrative. Set on an MGM soundstage in the Golden Age of cinema, Cecil B. Demil’s latest epic “Joseph” is fixed to star the iconic characters that made headlines through the 1920’s and 1930’s. Rudolph Valentino, W.C. Fields, Mae West, The Little Rascals, Charlie Chaplin and the Marx Brothers are all on hand to playfully spin the Old Testament tale, but will a young cameraman with big dreams become the ultimate star?

Featuring an ensemble cast of 12, the Mercury Summer Stock production presents Wright State graduate Jonathan Ramos (Peter in Peter Pan at Porthouse, Wanderlust at CPT) as Joseph. MSS 2010 Company members Tim Allen, Kelvette Beacham, Madeline Beer, Dan DiCello, Alyssa Hostetler, Antoinette Kula Mark Leach, Brian Marshall, Jen Myor, Shane Patrick O'Neill and Ryan Thompson will also be on hand to bring out the colorful characters of yesteryear and sing Andrew Lloyd Webber’s superb score.
