multi-Grammy®and Latin Grammy nominee.  A leader in the Afro-Cuban and Jazz
fields, he is considered one of the world’s foremost performers, recording
artists, educators and articulate scholars of la tradición, performing with
the Who’s Who of jazz and Latin music.

Esteemed NEA Jazz Master and incomparable musical giant hailed as one of the
greatest Cuban percussionists to ever come to the United States.  Honored
for his major contributions to the world of Cuban music, American Jazz and
Latin Jazz, Candido has performed and recorded with more than two hundred of
the world’s greatest musicians.
