Job Opening: Performing Arts Publicity and Events  Coordinator

This is a 9-month position and not a 10-month position as stated in the July 9, 2010 NEOPAL posting.

Ashland University seeks a Coordinator, Performing Arts Publicity and Events. This is a 9-month salaried position and includes occasional evenings and weekends. Bachelor's degree required; strong computer skills including spreadsheets and desktop publishing; strong written and oral communication skills; organizational skills; attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping, scheduling and publicity; ability to work effectively with students, colleagues and the public.

Individuals with arts administration experience and/or enthusiasm for or experience in the performing arts are preferred. Responsibilities include Box Office operation and supervision of student staff, coordination of Music recital workers, maintenance of calendars and scheduling for performing arts events and venues, development and coordination of all publicity materials for Music and Theatre Department events, and maintenance of Theatre Department website.

The Coordinator will work with Department Chairs for Theatre and Music with occasional duties for the College of Arts & Sciences Dean's Office.
