It is April 1922 and the cast of William Gillette's latest Broadway revival of "Sherlock Holmes" has assembled for a weekend of relaxation at his magnificent medieval castle.  
For entertainment, actor, playwright and heart-throb Gillette (who has portrayed the famous Sherlock Holmes for 30 years) has arranged a seance.  But is one of his guests trying to murder Gillette?  "a mystery packed with suspects and tinged with suspense and laughter."
 
Characters:
William Gillette- 50's-60's. an actor famous for playing Sherlock Holmes onstage, disguises himself as-----
Macready - a butler with a Scottish accent 50's-60's
Bobby Carlyle -  30's, good looking with a boyish face
May Dison - 20's, very pretty,an ingenue
Marion Barrett - 40's-50's, brassy and likable,an actress,Gillette's sister
Leo Barrett - 40's60's, Marion's husband,they are a good match plays, Professor Moriarty
Lilly Warner- 60's-70's, speaks and moves with the grand air of a bygone era,Gillette's aunt
Louise Parradine - 30's-50's tall and strikingly beautiful, elegant, a former actress
