AUDITIONS: MACBETH at The Youngstown Playhouse, Aug. 8, 9

AUDITIONS NOTICE:

*MACBETH
*by William Shakespeare
directed by Michael Dempsey

Auditions will be held at the Youngstown Playhouse on Sunday, August 8 from
6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Monday, August 9 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Callbacks will be Wednesday, August 11 or Thursday, August 12.

ALL ROLES are available.

MACBETH runs from October 15-24 (Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays).

Rehearsals will begin on August 22.

Please prepare one classical monologue or sonnet. It is strongly suggested
that you come with a prepared piece to best demonstrate your ability to
handle verse.

If you are NOT available for the Wednesday or Thursday callbacks please make
this clear when you sign up for your appointment slot. Callbacks may include
a simple exercise in stage combat for men, so come prepared to move.

MACBETH features a large and well-used ensemble (MANY role doubling and
tripling opportunities!) There are three roles for young men between
approximately 10-16 years of age. Age ranges for this show go from 18 to 65.

Director Michael Dempsey has trained at Actors Theatre of Louisville, the
National Theatre of Great Britain and the Royal Shakespeare Company. His
last two local productions, CURTAINS and INTO THE WOODS, were both smash
hits in the Youngstown area.

Please call the Youngstown Playhouse at 1 (330)788-8739 to reserve an
audition time. Those arriving at auditions without appointments will be seen
on a first-come, first-serve basis after the reserved appointments are
finished.
