[NEohioPAL] New Improv Team Holds Auditions

Big Dog Theater in the historic Coventry Arts District announces auditions for 
its 1st House Short Form Improv Team. 
 
Team will rotate into main stage performance schedule at BDT.  Prior performance 
experience and training a must.   Looking for players who bring high energy, 
playfulness, and intelligence to the stage. 
 
Team will be coached by Deena Nyer Mendlowitz. Deena is creator of Zip Zap 
Cleveland and co-creator of FWB Improv and the weekly improv jam at Bela Dubby.  
Training credits include:  The Second City Cleveland  under Mitchell Fields, 
Nate Cockerill, Kiff Vanden Heuvel, Fred Gloor, and Jeffery Lyn Hall. Annoyance 
Theatre with Susan Messing, Mick Napier, Mark Sutton, Rich Sohn and Rebecca 
Sohn. Workshops with Dave Buckman, Nathan Edmondson, Jim Fath, Dana Quercioli, 
Alexis Simpson and Chris Trew, among others.  

 
First team showcase will be Fri 12/10 and Sat 12/11 at BDT.   Auditions will be 
held on Sunday 9/12 at 2pm at BDT.  Callbacks are on Wednesday 9/15 at 7pm at 
BDT.  Please bring a headshot and resume when you arrive.  Email

phone number with the email heading “audition”.  
 
BIG DOG THEATER is a new comedy training and performance venue on Coventry in 
the historic Centrum.  More information regarding the grand opening of the space 
and the training center coming soon.
