What a production of "The Producers" @ Chagrin Valley Little Theatre. A must see musical filled with witty lines, exceptional choreography by Jennifer Ritz and a cast of greatness. Tom Hill did a great job as Max Bialystock. His timing, physical comedy and command of the stage made the show. The moment while he was in jail recapturing what had just transpired in his life put the entire house at a standstill. Watch out Nathan Lane! The character Leo Bloom played by Nathan Earley was equally compelling with perfect delivery. His reserved portrayal of shy Leo kept the audience wanting more. Kat Clover as Ulla was magnetic to say the least. Her quirky, sexy and innocent depiction of Ulla kept everyone in the audience glued to her every words and moves. Who can forget the dynamic duo Gary Samarin and Don Pedley as Roger DeBris and Carmen Ghia respectively. They literally lit up the stage like a Christmas tree. The audience kept their eyes on every flicker of their fingers, sway of their hips and the words that came out of their mouths. They were hilarious. The whole house was in roar every time either one of them enters the stage. Franz portrayed by Chad Duwe was also funny. Those birds definitely stole the show. On the other hand, Chad kept his character intact and outwitted those birds who attempted to upstage him. The entire ensemble was phenomenal with great costumes. The Producers runs until 8/21/10 with Friday and Saturday shows @ 8p. Make your reservations now or else.
