Industrials – An Overview by Sean Pratt

Working in training films will not only help you pay the rent but they can provide you with some valuable experience.

Video training films, or “industrials” as they’re known in the Biz, consist of government or corporate videos which train, educate, or promote something. It could be anything from how to deal with sexual harassment in the workplace, to a company promoting a new product line, to an instructional video on how to do the Heimlich maneuver. While they are shot all over the country, Los Angeles, New York, and Washington, D.C., are the biggest markets for these jobs.

Sean Pratt, (AEA / SAG / AFTRA), has been a working actor for over 20 years.
