A Date With Judy! The Songs of Young Judy Garland
Featuring Joan Ellison, with Mark Flanders as your Radio Host and
Pianist Michael Leamon

Friday & Saturday, August 27 & 28, 2010 at 7:30pm each evening 
in the Studio Theatre of Stocker Arts Center

Come experience the songs of MGM's swing-singing starlet from her early
days in radio and motion pictures. Joan Ellison recreates the magic of
Judy in this cabaret-style radio show, featuring the popular song hits
Zing! Went the Strings of My Heart, The Trolley Song, Over the Rainbow
and many more! "Ellison draws the listener deeply into the emotions
being portrayed. The singer brings a keen sense of vocal splendor and
verbal crispness to every musical moment. She inhabits the texts as if
living them anew and knows when to go for passion and when to up the

Tickets are just $15/Adults and $10/Children 12 and under and are
available at the door.  The Stocker Box Office is open today from 12
