Hey, Opera Singers? What's Your Five?? In other words, What's your five
arias?
If you are an opera singer out of school and planning to do fall opera
auditions for opera companies and young artist program, consider taking part in
a seminar geared specifically to you! This three day intensive seminar
offers six 1 hour coachings with three opera professionals and three master
classes over three days. The seminar concludes with a performance of one or
two arias from each singer for an invited audience. The three opera
professionals are:
* Bruce Stasyna, principal coach at Palm Beach Opera, young artist
administrator at Green Mountain Opera Festival, formerly principal coach at
Minnesota Opera for five years, sought after coach and recitalist
* A. Scott Parry, stage director from NYCOpera, Florida Grand Opera,
Opera Pacific, Opera Southwest, Des Moines Metro Opera among many others.
Next month directing Barber of Seville at Pittsburgh Opera
* Helen Todd, opera singer and opera producer: Sung with Canadian
Opera Company of Toronto, Minnesota Opera, Arizona Opera, NYCOpera, Long Beach
Opera, among many others. She is also the General Director of her own
summer opera festival, Sugar Creek Symphony & Song, which she founded.
This three day seminar is being held in Cleveland, OH to bring NYC level
coaching to the Midwest so that singers do not have to travel to NYC to get
this level of coaching. Coachings will work on style, diction, phrasing,
interpretation, dramatic presentation, breath support, technique, role
preparation and the total package for a professional audition. This seminar is
perfect for those singers that are out of school and ready to do serious
auditions. You can look at the information by clicking this link at
