AUDITION NOTICE for Karamu Outreach Programs
KARAMU CULTURAL DANCE COMPANY and The MU TROUPE 
DATE:  Sunday, September 19, 2010
TIME: 2pm-5pm 
Karamu Theater 
2355 East 89th Street
Cleveland, OH 44106
 
Auditions will be held at Karamu Theater’s lower dance studio. 
 
Karamu Cultural Dance Company (KCDC) is a performance ensemble that will travel to local schools, festivals, and other performance locations to present  various dance works in the styles of modern/contemporary, liturgical, hip hop, and jazz. Focus will be on, but not limited to, the history of African-American dance styles and famous African-American dancers.  
 
The Mu Troupe is a theatre ensemble that will travel to local schools, festivals, and other performance locations. Mu Troupe performances may include mime, physical theatre, poetry, song and dance. 
 
We are auditioning ages 18-adult. 
 
Positions are paid a stipend for rehearsal and each performance.
